Ordering and Payment Procedure
- Get a Quote
Fill in the online quote request or if you are unsure simply use our email form, and one of our consultants will contact you within 24hrs.
- Place the order
Once you have accepted the quote, simply sign and fax the quote to us we will then continue with production
- Receive a proof
Whether you supply the artwork or we do it for you a proof will be emailed to you, alternatively you may request a hard copy printed sample which can be viewed at our premises. Once you are happy to proceed, simply sign the proof and fax or email it to us.
- Receive Delivery/Collection Date
Once we have received the signed proof, you will receive a collection or if delivery has been required a delivery date.
- Payment
Once a Delivery or Collection Date has been established we will fax through a Performa invoice so that you can make payment. Proof of payment if paying by electronic transfer should be faxed or emailed to The Printing Press before we will release the job.
What file types can we supply?
Although we accept nearly all file formats, to avoid any surcharges you file should be supplied as a Print Ready PDF. Pictures or Photos should be supplied as TIFF images although JPEG will work if the quality is kept to a maximum.
Additional Formats accepted surcharges may apply: Microsoft Office Products, Quark, Freehand, Indesign, Illustrator, Coreldraw, Photoshop.
What resolution is required for a quality print?
Images should be of no less than 300dpi. It is not possible to use most images from the internet for litho printing; these images have a reduced file size and have been optimised for screen viewing only.
How to supply multiple page work?
When supply us artwork for books or newsletters, do not supply us with spreads. Please supply us with a single document with multiple pages. Please leave the cover as a separate file.
CMYK or RGB?
All artwork and images should be supplied in CMYK colour mode. RGB was only created for on screen viewing. Litho and Digital Printing can not reproduce the results of RGB colours.
What is Bleed, do I need it?
If any images on your artwork are intended to run off the page, the term Bleed is used. You should supply 3mm Bleed from the trim line on all artwork where bleed is necessary.
